Packaging guidance
- Use a rigid double-walled carton for anything fragile or over 10 kg.
- Leave at least 5 cm of cushioning between contents and every wall of the box.
- Seal all seams with reinforced tape and remove old labels and barcodes.
- Place a duplicate address slip inside the parcel in case the outer label is damaged.
Customs, duties and taxes
International shipments must clear customs in the destination country. A commercial invoice with an accurate description, declared value and HS code speeds clearance considerably. When duties, taxes or inspection fees are assessed, the tracking page shows a customs hold status together with the payment instructions and an upload area for proof of payment. ParcelWays never asks for payment outside the tracking page.
Restricted and prohibited items
Cash, hazardous materials, live animals, perishable goods without cold-chain booking, and items restricted by the origin or destination country cannot be shipped. Contact our team before booking if you are unsure whether your goods qualify.
Delivery
Most shipments require a signature on delivery. If nobody is available, the driver leaves a notice and the shipment is held for a further attempt or collection. Track the current status any time on the ParcelWays shipment tracking page.
